Mobile World Congress
Three Mobile asked us to cover the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It’s a huge event in the mobile technology world, and if you’re a tech head you’ll know all about the surprise announcement drama, online forum rumours and how long it takes to queue up just to take a selfie with a yellow flip phone. A long time. It takes a long time.
The challenge was to make the event exciting for the brand’s middle-ground Instagram followers - those who don’t necessarily know the difference between an iPhone and an Android, but do want to know if one of them can turn their face into an emoji. Brand warmth content that’s genuinely entertaining for it’s followers. We mixed our own footage with gifs, added fun tracks and kept the copy writing down to earth and tongue in cheek.
Myself and the team prepared lots of formats and video skeletons in advance, so we’d be able to be as reactive as possible on the day. All the content was shot on an iPhone X and edited on-the-go over the course of 3 days.
