The Perfect Flip
This is a really simple example of getting creative with a platform’s existing mechanics.
We know that videos autoplay on Facebook, so we created an in-feed game showing a pancake flipping from the pan up towards the camera. We added a big circle in the brand’s orange, asking users to screenshot the pancake when it landed directly into the circle.
To make it competitive, we added a call to a action in the post copy asking users to post their screenshot in the comments if they managed to succeed. A playful, cheap idea to put Sainsbury’s front of mind when users realise it’s pancake day and they don’t have any eggs at home.
